Next year, Meridian Herald will present Steven Darsey’s new chamber opera based on a Hawthorne short story, “Rappaccini’s Daughter.” Kevin Burdette, who sings with the Metropolitan Opera, has agreed to perform in it and will be joined by local stars Timothy Miller and Brent Davis.
