Singing songs from the Celtic, English and American folk traditions, Steven Darsey explores life and longing through these powerful musical traditions. A scholar of southern indigenous music, he includes songs from the African American and rural white folk traditions, singing of humor and truth with pleasure and passion. Along the way, he shares insight and humor drawn from his southern heritage.  For nine years, he was privileged to sing songs to Fred Craddock's stories in their Winged the Heart; Stories and Songs programs in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
